Summary
The unique feature of this unit is that it is built around the rock – a reminiscent of the tobogganing hill that is right behind the house should you choose to go sliding during the winter months. You can see the rock featured in the washroom surrounded by the Travertine tile, and the bed platform is also built on top of a rock. Houses with rocks flowing inside the house is such a Yellowknife thing to experience!
Space
This basement suite in a great location. You are walking distance to parks and trails such as the Somba K’e park, the City Hall, the Frame Lake Trail, the Niven Lake Trail and the Tin Can Hill.
Be sure to enjoy the walking distance café called Javaroma or go to the Outlanders shop to rent some ski or snowshoeing gear. During winter months, a lot of lakes will freeze, and the community sets up ski tracks all around the city for folks to come out and enjoy.
If you are into theatre, the Northern Arts and Cultural Centre is also nearby. Check out their website for more information on upcoming shows.
You are on the first floor of the building, so please don’t hesitate to ask for noise canceling earbuds if you ever experience any noise.
